Where is your office located?
We do not have an office location. We have mobile services. Our staff members will meet at a location of your choosing such as residence, place of work, place of business, library, hospital, etc. Our Services Come To You!
What is a Notary Public?
Notaries are appointed by the state government that serves the public as impartial witnesses when important documents are signed to prevent from fraudulent acts. Notaries are legally empowered to witness and authenticate documents, verify affidavits and depositions, administer oaths and affirmations, and perform certain other acts that are established by law.
What are common documents that require notarizations?

Will you take birth certificates, bank cards, expired identification, or social security cards as identification?
We will only accept proper and unexpired identification only to execute notarial acts such as state issued identification, state driver's licenses, U.S. passports, foreign passports, permanent resident (green) card, certificate of naturalization, certificate of U.S. Citizenship, or inmate identification (Department of Corrections or Federal Bureau of Prisons).
My document does not have a notarial certificate wording on it, can you still notarize it?
Yes, we can still notarize your document by attaching notarial certificate to it. If a notarial certificate wording is not provided or indicated for a record, a notary shall not determine the type of notarial act or certificate to be used. A selection of certificate forms will be offered only. You must choose the certificate that is fitting for your document.
My document is in a foreign language, can you still notarize it?
The document can be in a foreign language, however, our notaries cannot execute a notarial certificate that is false or not written in English language. Ensure that the notarial certificate is in English or a notarial certificate can be attached to it and notarized.
Can someone take my documents to get it notarized for me?
Personal appearance before a notary is required.
I have a photo copy of my identification, can I utilize it to get my documents notarized?
Unfortunately, no. We cannot accept a photo copy of an identification. It must be the physical version issued by a state or federal government entity.
What is a Notary (Loan) Signing Agent?
A Signing Agent is a Notary who has special expertise to handle and notarize loan papers. They ensure that the real estate loan documents are executed by the borrower, signed, dated, notarized, and returned to the lender for processing on time. They are also certified and background screened to ensure that the borrowers' private financial information is guarded and kept confidential in conjunction with the Gram-Leach-Billey Act.
Does your Notary (Loan) Signing Agents have any additional training?
Yes. Our Notary (Loan) Signing Agents are certified, trained and background screened by National Notary Association annually.
What entities & professionals do you provide your real estate transactions for?
We are often engaged by a range of entities & professionals involved in real estate transactions such as title companies, lenders, brokers, escrow companies, real estate agents, signing agencies, attorneys, banks, and credit unions. We also provide direct service for borrowers, investors, & sellers.
What is an apostille and what is it used for?
Apostille means "certification" in the French language. It is the legalization (or authentication) of a document for international use or foreign countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention Treaty (Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents) by an government agency.
The authentication of the document certifies the official, their signature, & seal (if applicable) is valid and can be accepted in other member countries without further evidence of authentication. Non-member counties will require alternative authentication measures.
What documents usually require an apostille?

Do you offer electronic notarizations?
Yes. We only offer In-Person Electronic Notarizations (IPEN) through EscrowTab & Pavaso at this time. However, we have the ability to download electronic notary platforms approved by the North Carolina Secretary of State to accommodate our clients.
Do you have to receive authorization to sign my Form I-9?
Yes. We must receive confirmation that we can be authorized representatives on behalf of your employer or human resource department. You can provide us their contact information or you can have them email us at customercare@astylux.com with the confirmation statement.
Are you insured?
Absolutely! We carry an Error & Omissions (E&O) insurance of 1 million dollars.
Are your couriers licensed?
Yes! We have a courier license through the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
Can your notaries provide legal advice or assist in filling out documents?
No. We are not attorneys licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina or any state, and we may not give legal advice, accept fees for legal advice, give advice on how to fill out legal forms, or provide understanding of a record or transaction requiring a notarial act. Please contact a legal representative or attorney for assistance.
Can you prepare, create, draft, or create documents?
By North Carolina law, we do prepare, create, draft, complete, or select documents. Please contact a legal representative or attorney for assistance.
Do you provide a server processor service?
Unfortunately, we do not serve legal court documents. Please contact your local court or sheriff's department to obtain services.
What kind of packages does your courier service?
Our courier and mailing services are limited to documents & small parcels only. We will verify all packages before transporting them.
What happens to my package if the recipient is not available to receive it?
All documents or small parcel that are not accepted by the recipient will be returned to the sender via courier. Payments & deposits will not be refunded.
I am unable to print my documents to be notarized, can you help with this issue?
Yes. Send your documents to customercare@astylux.com and we will print them out for you and have them available for you to sign during your appointment. Printing fees will be applied to your invoice.
Are you responsible for my small parcels or documents once they are released to the carrier?
Once packages are delivered to the carrier (ie. FedEx, UPS, USPS) for shipment, we are not responsible for delivery delays, unsuccessful deliveries, or loss of packages. We will provide the tracking number to you once they are delivered to the carrier for personal tracking.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum notice of 2 hours is required for cancellations. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after that time. Cancellations must be communicated via email or phone. Failure to provide notice (no-shows) may result in forfeiture of your deposit, rendering it non-refundable.
Are there any reason why you would decline services?
We exercise the right to cancel, report, or decline any requested services that violate any federal or state laws. Deposits will not be refunded.
What payments do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay. We also accept e-checks and direct ACH payments from businesses and agencies. We do not accept Venmo or PayPal at this time.
